VETCO clinic to open in Mumbai, says Dr Manoj Kumar
VETco Clinic is likely to open its doors in Mumbai by the end of the month, said a spokesperson for the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Health Corporation.
The clinic will be located at the V&M Road in Mumbai’s VMC, he said.
The department has also asked for a list of interested applicants to apply for a position at the clinic.
The department will be looking for psychiatrists who can work with children in a clinical setting, he added.
The first patient will be enrolled in the clinic by the month-end.
VETCO Clinic is a small clinic set up by the VMC Health Corporation under the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) for providing psychological care to people with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).
The clinic aims to treat people with mental illness.
The clinic, which was launched in March, is one of the first in India to be operated by the NIMHAN.
